Job description

About Teamwill Consulting

Putting domain expertise and artificial intelligence at the heart of the decisions that finance millions of projects, vehicles, and equipment around the world is the core of what we do.

For more than 20 years, Teamwill Consulting has been supporting leading players in banking, consumer finance, and mobility through their strategic and technological transformations. Operating in 11 countries and bringing together more than 800 professionals, the Group combines deep industry expertise, close client relationships, and the ability to deliver on a global scale.

Artificial intelligence is a cornerstone of our growth strategy. To carry that ambition, we are strengthening our technology, engineering, and data teams.

Role Summary

Platform Engineering builds and operates the internal platform that every other team in the CTAIO function, as well as in the entire firm, builds on: this includes infrastructure strategy and deployment, shared cloud infrastructure, golden-path templates, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) mechanisms, automations, security, and monitoring that let a new service start secure and compliant by default, and the automated guardrails that keep it that way. As a Platform Engineer, you treat this platform as a product: your users are the other engineers or firm staff who depend on it, and your job is to reduce the cognitive load they carry by making the secure, correct way of doing things also the fastest way. For self-service applications, you put the user and their experience at the heart of your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and operate infrastructure as versioned, reviewable configuration using infrastructure-as-code techniques (specifically Terraform), preferring well-maintained, versioned shared modules over one-off, hand-written definitions, with the same software craftsmanship discipline expected of any application codebase. Follow, apply, promote, and disseminate Everything as Code approaches, including formalizing and documenting all decision records, handbooks, features, and application programming interfaces (API).

  • Build and maintain the golden-path chain: project templates (for example for a Java service, a Python service, or a web front end), the platform’s GitOps-based deployment pipeline, and CI/CD pipelines with automated code-quality, security, and infrastructure-validation checks on every change. A service that starts on the golden path comes secure, tested, and deployable by default, with GitOps, security, and robustness best practices built in, so teams do not solve the same infrastructure problems repeatedly.

  • Own the platform’s supply-chain security posture, including container image scanning, vulnerability management, cryptographic signing of build artifacts (for example with Cosign), and policy-as-code rules enforced automatically before anything is allowed to run. Manage security, secrets, and credentials so that no application ever holds a long-lived static secret or credential.

  • Own the reliability of the platform based on design decisions, and as a consequence a portion of the reliability of the deployed applications or systems your users are building, and own the platform’s automated test coverage, including for infrastructure.

  • Treat the platform as a product and support other engineering teams directly: platform reliability and developer experience are your responsibility, and a slow or confusing platform is a bug to fix.

  • Develop genuine self-service into the platform through APIs, automation, and clear documentation, so a team can provision what it needs without filing a ticket and waiting on you. Measure your success by the independence of the teams consuming the platform in a secured, compliant way, treat their feedback as the main input to what you build next, the same way a product team treats customer feedback, and track platform adoption (for example how long it takes a new team to reach its first deployment, or how many services actually use a golden path) with the same rigor you would apply to uptime.

What You’ll Work On

You will operate and build upon a fully private, security-hardened Kubernetes-based cloud platform, built with infrastructure-as-code from versioned, well-audited shared modules, with strict identity-based access control, and automated compliance checks built into every stage of deployment. This platform underpins the artificial intelligence (AI) engineering assets and client-facing deployments built by the rest of the CTAIO function as well as the firm, including work for clients in regulated industries such as financial services, so the quality you build in multiplies across every team and engagement that runs on it.

The work is international: you will collaborate with teams and clients across Teamwill Consulting’s geographies.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent hands-on professional experience) in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience, including platform or infrastructure ownership at production scale.

  • Solid, hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform suite) and with a public cloud provider (Microsoft Azure preferred; Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform also valued).

  • Practical experience operating Kubernetes in production, including container orchestration, safety and backup (Velero), networking, and identity/access management concepts (for example workload identity).

  • Experience with a GitOps deployment tool (for example Argo CD or an equivalent) and with policy-as-code admission control, and familiarity with supply-chain security practices: vulnerability scanning, image signing (for example with Cosign), and software bill of materials (SBOM) generation.

  • Comfort writing and reviewing CI/CD pipeline configuration, and a genuine interest in making infrastructure testable and provable.

  • Clear, patient communication skills: this role exists to make other engineers more effective, which calls for explaining platform decisions clearly in addition to making them. This is an egoless and collaborative role.

  • Professional fluency in English; professional French for roles based in France or Tunisia.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with policy engines such as Kyverno or the Open Policy Agent ecosystem.

  • Experience supporting AI or machine learning workloads, including graphics processing unit (GPU) scheduling considerations.

  • Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications (for example an Azure or AWS architecture certification, or a HashiCorp certification).

  • Experience in a regulated industry (for example financial services) where compliance requirements shape infrastructure design.

Location & Mobility

A minimum of 3 days per week, on site is expected, at Teamwill Consulting offices or at client engagement locations, with travel varying by assignment.

Teamwill fosters an inclusive work environment and ensures equal opportunity in all hiring decisions, regardless of gender, age, national or ethnic origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, beliefs, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
